Project: Loading Arm for Propylene Glycol (PGI)

Written by Treloar | 28/09/2020 3:22:50 AM

This was a loading arm for Propylene Glycol (PGI), the customer needed it in a very short lead-time and we were able to deliver.

Typically, this type of arm would take us 8-10 weeks as they are manufactured to order in our workshop, but we were able to deliver in just 6 weeks including painting and testing. It was also a special design with a 4” primary section for strength and durability, but dropping to a 3” tertiary section to allow easier connection to the tanker.

We pre-set the balance system on our test stand and then packed it in 2 sections so installation for the customer was simple. The API coupler was required, so we reduced the pipework to suit and made a neat and easy-to-use loading arm for loading and unloading.
